12K km 2016 Ford Mustang Premium Convertible EcoBoost SOLD for $25,000

Here is a 2016 Ford Mustang Premium Convertible EcoBoost with very low mileage, under 12,000 km.  It is with its second owner, of five years, after very little use by the elderly first owner who realized a bucket list dream of owning a new Mustang convertible.  The car presents almost as new with very little sign of wear or use.  It is finished in Race Red on a black leather interior.  It is powered by a factory-rated 310 horsepower 2.3 litre four-cylinder engine which is matched up with a six-speed automatic featuring paddle shifters.  Additional equipment includes 20″ alloy OEM five double-spoke wheels, Sync 3 infotainment, a Shaker sound system, leather seats and HID headlamps. This Mustang is offered with manufacturer’s literature, two key fobs and a clean Carfax report.

The body is finished in Race Red Metallic (Ford paint code PQ) and features a front lip spoiler, side skirts, sequential rear indicator lights and a rear diffuser. Additional exterior equipment includes automatic HID headlamps, LED fog lamps and tail lamps, heated side mirrors, and twin opposite-end polished exhaust exits.  There is a Ford SoundScreen windshield in place to cancel outdoor noise.  The convertible top is power-operated, with the controller aft of the windshield and between the two sun visors.  Its condition is photographed up close in our gallery.

Factory installed 20″ alloy wheels are silver-finished and wear Y-speed rated 265/35 Pirelli P Zero tires at all four corners.  Three of the tires were installed at the factory, the front right is a replacement installed in 2020, date coded 2018. The car rides on an independent suspension all around, with McPherson struts and a tubular stabilizer bar up front, coil springs, solid stabilizer bar and monotube dampers in the rear.  Braking is by a four-wheel power disc ABS setup, 320 mm vented discs fore and aft with aluminum calipers.  When the doors are opened, the familiar Mustang logo lights up on the road surface via a light projector – this feature is illustrated in our gallery.

Front bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and the upholstery on the split-fold rear seats is consistent.  Additional equipment includes a turned metal-look dash applique with a Mustang badge calling out the history of the marque, dual-zone automatic climate control, Sync 3 infotainment with navigation, a Shaker sound system, a rear-view camera and stock floor mats in the front.

There is a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel fronting a 260 km/h speedometer and an 8000 RPM tachometer with a 6500 RPM redline.  Incorporated within these are a fuel gauge and water temperature gauge, respectively.  Between is a driver-adjustable digital multi-function display with auxiliary gauges, incorporated into which is the odometer showing under 12,000 km since new. In the centre stack is found a 7” display where infotainment data is displayed, as well as the picture from the reverse camera when this gear is engaged, below which are HVAC buttons, including for the dual zone temperature control.  At the bottom of the stack are found engine start/stop button as well as switches for four-way flashers, traction control, heated steering wheel and a MODE button for infotainment.  At the base is a Shaker logo indicating sound system manufacturer, complemented by SIRIUS satellite radio capability.  Power supplies are found on the stack and inside the console storage container.

The 2.3 litre Turbocharged EcoBoost 16-valve engine was rated at 310 horsepower from the factory (5500 RPM), 10 higher than the V6 Mustang of the same model year, and 320 lb.-ft of torque (achieved between 2500 and 4500 RPM).  The engine is direct-injected in terms of fuel delivery and engineered to burn regular 87-octane gasoline.  Power is sent to the rear wheels by the six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters through a limited-slip differential.  The car’s most recent oil service was in May 2023 at 10,800 km – the shop’s reminder sticker for next oil change due is affixed to the windshield and photographed.  This Mustang runs an AC Delco replacement battery.  Other service history is listed on the clean Carfax report, linked in “CCC Vital Info”.  There is one open recall on the car, related to rear-view camera (not noted as inoperable at the time of CCC’s photo shoot) and this can be checked and resolved as applicable for no charge at any Canadian Ford dealer.

A clean Carfax is on hand and the owner expects this 2016 Mustang Premium Convertible will qualify for an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate as it currently sits.  This 2016 Ford Mustang Premium Convertible EcoBoost comes with two key fobs, an owners manual as well as other factory documents photographed and is available from its owner in Cambridge, Ontario.
