Here is a 2010 Lotus Evora 6-speed manual with low mileage and a few nice extras included. The Evora is known for handling, mostly attributable to its midship engine – put the weight between the wheels and the car tends to stick. Many of us thought we would never see a non-front engined Corvette but this is why the C8 has a midship engine.
.

This Evora exhibits some of the modern looks of a contemporary sports car. Contrasting against its grey finish is a set of alloy wheels painted in black, backed by red brake calipers. Flush mounted headlights up front are complemented by Euro-style side markers on the fenders. Rear spoiler integrated into the body work is a nice pairing with the Ferrari-style single round tail lights on each side. Not particularly evident in the photos is this 2-seater’s size. Only 48“ in height and 170“ in length, we figure it handles like a go-kart.

The interior is a tidy package with form-fitting seats in a matching grey. Low-slung seating position keeps the weight of the car low to add to the handling. Adding to the sporting feel is the glass engine cover, sadly left out of the gallery by this seller. Other extras are a car cover and Lotus books.

In the engine bay is where there might be a surprise for those who do not follow Lotus intimately. For one, it is a 3.5L V6 – much bigger than Lotus engine sizes of yore, like that in the 1970 Europa currently running in a CCC auction. Add to that the fact that the engine is made by Toyota and this modern Lotus is quite distinct, available even in a period Camry.

While it may detract from the romantic notion of a Lotus, it is hard to argue with Toyota reliability. A 6-speed manual gets the 276 horsepower to the rear wheels. Combine that with a curb weight of about 2750 lbs. and this roller skate completed the 0-60 jaunt in a mere 5 seconds. An aftermarket Plack exhaust system is in place, with all of the pops and explosions that come with it.Â

This 2010 Lotus Evora 6-speed manual is available on Auto Trader in Ottawa for $65,000. CCC thanks original member Steve for submitting it.
