1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 convertible – possible future CCC auction item
2022 06 27 posting – Wheels on the Mississippi, Carleton Place, On, held June 26, 2022
Eastern Ontario was calling us Sunday. We were happy to see a number of you swing by our table to say hello as we enjoyed the Wheels on the Mississippi show in Carleton Place. It was a fabulous day, and a beautiful setting on the Mississippi River. Mostly domestics and lots of classics though we also saw modern and imported. Please have a look below for what we had time to snap – a little tricky when we had to man our booth, but worth it.

Sooo other than the picture of the rear end, silly me was still not able to equate that the 1970 Torino picture even existed. I must have been so taken with the absolutely stunning Camaro on the opening shot that I blinded myself! 7 litre Galaxies had 428’s in them. Just so you know many engines were 426 cu. in. but because the most famous Chrysler engine was that, there would be hell to pay if you called yours a 426 hemi or not!

@vintageracer – This Galaxie was billing itself as a 7.0 litre. By our math, converting into “cubes”… well, you know the rest!

I recently selected a ’64 Galaxie, which probably had a 427 and a 4 spd. Here I see a 427 Chevrolet Biscayne. Yes, it will help towards a set of BIG ‘murrican muscle.. 🙂
