Here is a first-ever show put on by our friends at Circleback Social. Those friends are currently at one of our favourite motorsport events, Targa Newfoundland. So, if you know the guys at C/S, please let them know that we are paying homage to the first-ever “East Meets West” show. The idea here was to attract Cold War-era cars from either side of the Iron Curtain. The setting was perfect, the beautiful yard of Masaryktown, a facility maintained for Czechs and Slovaks in Canada and we sure got a fabulous weather day. In hindsight, the Eastern Bloc cars were a little camera shy, though we appreciated the offerings from both sides of the now-crumbled Wall – you’ll just have to trust us on the esteemed Trabants, Skodas, Ladas, and Tatras.
