1952 Ford F-1 Pick-Up Truck 3-Speed Manual, Restored

Here is a restored 1952 Ford F1 Pick-Up Truck 3-Speed Manual, finished in Blue with Black over a blue with white interior. This example is powered by its original flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission, with column-mounted shifter. Under family ownership for the past 12 years, this Canadian-market F-1 underwent a complete restoration approximately ten years ago, including engine and transmission rebuild. Ford’s first-generation post-war F-Series was distinguished by a one-piece windshield, three-tooth grille, and subtle trim updates that set it apart from earlier trucks. This F-1 is now offered with one key and is located in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Finished in Blue with Black fenders, this pickup was treated to a glass-out refinish during the restoration. Exterior equipment includes a chrome front bumper, iconic Ford “teeth” grille, Ford V8 hood emblem, dual side mirrors, polished hubcaps, and Ford-script tailgate lettering. The wood-slat cargo bed is finished in varnished hardwood with blue-painted steel strips. Gallery images illustrate clear lenses, factory-style glass with etchings, and brightwork, while the seller notes minor paint chips and a small area of damage on the passenger-side rear fender, reflective of an estimated 10,000 km of use since the restoration.

The 16-inch steel wheels wear polished Ford-script hubcaps and are mounted with Kelly Safari ATR radial tires measuring 225/75 16 with an S speed rating. Date codes on all four tires indicate year of manufacture of 2020. The tires have not been driven on since installation two years ago, other than to move the truck while stored. Braking is power assisted, retaining drums at all four corners, consistent with factory specification. The truck rides on its original solid-axle front and leaf-spring rear suspension, rebuilt during the restoration and remaining in stock configuration

The cabin is finished in blue vinyl upholstery with matching painted metal on the dashboard, door panels, and window surrounds. Chrome handles and window cranks accent the doors, while the steel dashboard carries cream-coloured gauge faces with black numerals. Controls are simple in the form of manual choke and heater levers. Features include a factory AM push-button radio, three-spoke steering wheel, black rubber floor covering, manual heater and ventilation controls, and a column-mounted shifter. The cloth-upholstered bench seat is estimated to have been added in the 1980s. Gallery images show light interior patina to the bright trim work and switchgear. Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and battery charge. The odometer displays under 51,000 miles, though true mileage is unknown (TMU).

The engine compartment presents in body-colour blue with correct black ancillary components, while cooling is managed by a restored radiator and updated hoses.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and factory literature cited a 3.92:1 ratio rear differential. Recent driveline maintenance includes the complete engine and transmission rebuild performed during the comprehensive restoration approximately ten years ago, and the seller reports no additional mechanical needs. The non-synchronised first gear and column-mounted shifter are genuine to early-F-Series specification
