Overview
This 1969 Rover 2000 SC Automatic four-door saloon is finished in a two-tone scheme of white over black and is offered at NO RESERVE. Its body wears white paint on the hood, roof, and trunk with contrasting black sides, complemented by factory brightwork including chrome bumpers, stainless window surrounds, and the original “ROVER” block lettering across the rear deck. Characteristic P6-series details include quad headlamps, tall vertical tail lamps, bright drip rails, subtle bonnet contours and a side-hinged trunk lid. Original-spec 14-inch steel wheels are fitted with original style covers and tires suitable for rolling transport out of the car’s current storage location.
The cabin is trimmed in black upholstery with matching door cards and features a wood-veneer dashboard that spans the width of the interior. Equipment includes manual windows, an AM/FM radio, and a two-spoke steering wheel. Instrumentation consists of a horizontal ribbon speedometer reading up to 120 MPH with a smaller kilometre-per-hour scale beneath, a fuel gauge, a coolant-temperature gauge, and an odometer.
Power is provided by a 2-litre single-overhead-camshaft inline four paired with a three-speed Borg-Warner 35 automatic transmission delivering output to the rear wheels. Factory specifications list 104 bhp and 121 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM. Induction is via a single SU HS6 carburetor. The Rover P6 chassis employs an innovative De Dion rear suspension design and was among the first production sedans to feature hydraulic servo-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The car is being offered TMU (True Mileage Unknown).
The two-tone finish appears to be an older repaint, showing scratches and chips, particularly on the trunk lid. All glass and exterior lighting assemblies are in place, including the distinctive quad headlights and vertical tail lamps. Additional photos show the exterior wear consistent with long-term storage, including accumulated dust and surface marks on the white panels and chrome.
This 1969 Rover 2000SC Automatic FOR PARTS ONLY/NO REGISTRATION is offered by the seller in Moncton, New Brunswick.
