No Reserve 1965 Rover TC 2000, A Thrifty Thursday Offering
The cabin is trimmed in red leather upholstery and configured with a four-door layout. While detailed information on the interior equipment and instrumentation is not available, specifications for the model included a horizontal ribbon speedometer up to 120 MPH, a 7000 max RPM tachometer, full width wood veneer dashboard panel, two spoke steering wheel, AM/FM radio, front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. The interior can partially be seen in photographs through the car windows and displays a complete seating arrangement and wear consistent with age and long-term heated indoor storage.
Power is supplied by a single overhead camshaft 2 litre inline-four, equipped with twin SU carburetors and factory rated at 122 HP. A four-speed manual synchromesh transmission teams with rear-wheel drive. The Rover P6 chassis incorporates De Dion rear suspension and servo-assisted disc brakes at all four corners, both of which were innovative for sedans of the era. The car will require mechanical inspection and restoration before road use.
