No Reserve Rover TC 2000 FOR PARTS ONLY/NO REGISTRATION, A Thrifty Thursday Offering, Half Price Buyer Premium $249
This Rover TC 2000 is finished in red with white leather seating, sand-coloured carpet and black interior panel, being offered at NO RESERVE. The Exterior displays factory chrome bumpers, bright window trim, and “ROVER” block lettering across the side hinged trunk lid. Characteristic P6-series details include quad headlights, vertical tail lamps, polished door handles and side brightwork, while a TC emblem adorns the front of the hood. The exterior shows paint wear and chips on several panels, illustrated in our gallery and the car rides on 14-inch wheels.
The cabin is trimmed in black interior panels, sand coloured carpet and white leather seating. Front bucket seats are not bolted in, showing wear, creasing, and small splits in the material, while wood-veneer trim accents the dashboard and upper door cards. A two-spoke wood-rim steering wheel fronts a horizontal ribbon speedometer marked to 120 MPH, accompanied by a tachometer with a 7,000 RPM maximum and a 6,000 RPM redline. Additional features include manual windows and a floor-mounted shifter for the manual gearbox.
Power is provided by a 2 litre single overhead cam inline-four with twin SU carburetors, factory rated at 104 horsepower; in fact, the TC name is a reference to twin carbs. A four-speed manual transmission with full synchromesh delivers power to the rear wheels, while braking is handled by servo-assisted discs at all four corners. The car has been stored for many years and is offered as non-running, with the odometer currently showing 10,419 miles – TMU, true mileage unknown.

Important Notes: The owner has engaged the seller to oversee the sale of various items including a car collection during a downsizing. While this sedan was photographed by CCC, there was no battery in the car when we attended. So, it was neither started nor driven while we were on site. This car is offered as is, where is with no representations made by the owner beyond the photographs. The vehicle is to be collected from the photographed heated storage facility. It being a private home, no repairs can be carried out at the seller’s site. Buyer premium on this lot, #311, is a flat $249.
