2012 BMW 328i Sport Line Sedan
Here is a 2012 BMW 328i Sport Line sedan finished in Melbourne Red Metallic over Black with Red Piping. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline four cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with electronic shifting available on the floor. The car was recently acquired by the selling licensed mechanic, who has installed an OEM engine he procured that powered another car 145,000 km. Much other work was performed in preparation for the sale, it is detailed below. This F30 has 199,700 km and is now offered by the seller with a Carfax report. This F30 is finished in Melbourne Red Metallic (A75) and features a power sunroof, black window trim, adaptive Xenon headlamps with automatic high beams and fog lights. The car comes with a clean Carfax, which shows regular servicing and Canadian registration since new, Ontario since 2015.
BMW 18″ Style 415 alloy wheels are appointed in Altenzo Sport Comforter all-season tires measuring 245/40R18 all around and W-rated. Tires are date-code 2018. Also included with the car is a set of unmounted Dunlop Wintermaxx winter tires sized 225/45R18, photographed toward the end of the gallery. Anti-lock braking system is by discs all around. One wheel exhibits moderate curb rash while two wheels are much more lightly marked.
Inside, seats are upholstered in black with red piping and a matching dash and door panel inserts – the dash and door cards have brushed aluminum trim, the dash with further red accenting. Carpets, and centre console are a matching black, the latter also with the brushed aluminum. Additional equipment includes Comfort Access keyless entry with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, iDrive with navigation, Harman Kardon premium Surround Sound, and power-adjustable front seats with memory. While functional, the iDrive wheel shows signs of wear. Other treats inside include a backup camera, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, auto dimming mirror with compass, sport power heated front seats with lumbar, 40/20/40 rear seats with pass-through, summer and winter mats as well as a remote garage door opener hookup.
The heated leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel fronts instrumentation, central to which are a 260 km/h speedometer and a 7500 RPM tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. These are flanked by gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The odometer shows 199,700 km.
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter inline-four was recently installed, having powered another 328i 145,000 km. The engine is equipped with direct fuel injection and was factory rated at 230 horsepower (6500 RPM) and 200 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 RPM. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale, an oil change reminder sticker was placed on the inside of the windshield at the time. Other work performed by the seller in September 2023 includes: spark plugs, turbo seals rotors, pads, new battery, cabin air filter, engine air filter and trunk handle.
The power produced by the turbocharged four is sent to the rear wheels, via a six-speed automatic transmission which shifts electronically and can be shifted through the forward gears by the driver. The underside presents well, there are photos on the gallery. There is minor scratching and stone chipping, a ding over the right rear wheel arch was too small for our camera to capture. There is some delmination around the supports for the roof rack installation points.
