Lingenfelter-Modified 2000 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe SOLD for $20,000

Presented here is a 2000 Chevrolet Corvette, finished in Dark Bowling Green Metallic over a Light Oak leather interior. This example is powered by a Lingenfelter-modified-when-new 5.7-litre LS1 V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transaxle. It shows under 92,000 kilometres on the digital odometer and is offered by the seller in Rockwood, Ontario, with two keys and fobs, some service documentation, a Carfax noting only a glass claim, and – Ontario buyers, please note – a valid Ontario Safety Standards Certificate. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering badging is in place, with additional branding on the valve covers and rear diffuser which can be viewed in the photo gallery. RPO codes are listed at image 165 and decoded in the Comments section below that.

The car is finished in Dark Bowling Green Metallic (paint code U9259). The seller advises one small blemish on the lower portion of the driver’s door was touched up during his ownership. The car features a removable colour matched roof panel, which is shown both installed and stored in the rear hatch. Exterior presentation is stock beyond the noted Lingenfelter branding. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps as well as fog lights, quad tip outlets from a dual exhaust, and original Corvette badging. Seller notes a replacement of the multifunction switch in 2024.
The cabin is finished in Light Oak leather (trim code 673) with factory sport seats (Regular Production Option (RPO) AQ9) with matching tan carpets and door panels. The driver’s seat bottom shows wear in the form of creasing, as depicted in the gallery. Interior equipment is very well equipped, including dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, cruise control, a tilt / telescopic steering column, and power windows / locks. The centre console houses a leather-wrapped automatic shifter and Bose audio system. Dash plastics and switchgear remain quite presentable.

Instrumentation is in the form of a centrally positioned 300 km/h speedometer and an analog tachometer with maximum reading at 7500 RPM and a redline at 6000. Additional analog gauges include fuel, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer shows under 92,000 kilometres and is shown in the gallery. The car also features GM’s Head-Up Display, which projects speedometer and tachometer readings, closer to the driver’s field of vision, so that the driver need not check the actual gauges while underway.

Under the clamshell hood is a 5.7-litre LS1 V8, originally rated at 345 horsepower and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering-modified right from the factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky. While specific performance figures are not documented, visible Lingenfelter components include branded valve covers and exterior badging and owner estimates the car currently produces 500 HP. The seller advises that the engine, transaxle, and rear-end were all upgraded under a prior owner. The Lingenfelter-upgraded engine is paired to a 4-speed M30 automatic transaxle. Recent service in 2024 included changing fluids: transaxle fluid; coolant; and oil, lube, and filter; as well as lighting system repairs completed at a GM dealership. The front page of this work order appears in the gallery while the entire detail of the work appears on the Carfax report.

The car rides on its stock five-spoke polished aluminum wheels, a notable upgrade given weight savings, larger in diameter and width in the rear. Fronts are wrapped in a set of Continental ExtremeContact, 245/40ZR17 radial tires with a W-rating and 275/40ZR18 in the rear, Y-rated. Date codes of the tires are shown in the gallery. Braking is by a four-wheel disc system with ABS, and the suspension remains consistent with the base FE1 suspension system, known as GM’s soft-ride configuration. Undercarriage photos show a clean floor pan and mechanical components.
