We at Collector Car Canada are proud to have this elegant Magnolia white 1971 Rolls-Royce Corniche Drop Head Coupe on offer, it is available in Montreal. This fine 1971 marks the first model year of the Corniche and was the beginning of a long run, 25 years through 1995. It is a substantial car, weighing in at over 4,800 lbs. In addition to the photo gallery, the seller has included an extensive walk-around and driving video, found just before the gallery.

Finished in Magnolia over a burgundy interior with matching burgundy soft convertible top. Wheels are 15” and it is further equipped with disc brakes at all four corners, chrome bumpers, power accessories and the factory AM/FM cassette stereo. The owner acquired the car some 15 years ago, having added approximately 15,000 miles over his custodianship and recently commissioned a tune up. The SMITHS odometer reads 83,000 miles. Seller is representing the car for the owner.
The Magnolia exterior with burgundy soft-top also features matching pinstripes, chrome bumpers, matching trademark Rolls-Royce grille, dual headlights and the iconic “Spirit of Ecstasy” hood ornament mounted on the grille. Seller has included paint meter photos and these are included in the photo gallery. The car has been retrofitted with a centre high-mounted stop lamp, a.k.a third brake light.
The 15” wheels are capped with Rolls-Royce full wheel covers emblazoned with the “RR” crest. Michelin RADIAL XH white wall rubber is mounted at all four corners. The full covers conceal the four-wheel discs and this Rolls is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension with a hydraulic self-leveling system.
On the inside, rich leather and wood abound. The burgundy hides are thick and free from tears, though the driver’s seat exhibits some creasing in the lumbar area. In addition to the seats, door interiors and lower dash are also leather covered. In addition to the wood trim for hard surfaces like the three-spoke steering wheel, there is also generously-appointed chrome throughout the cabin. Accessories are power-operated. The stereo is equipped with a graphic equalizer and power antenna in addition to the AM/FM cassette head unit. Clock is non-functional.
Traditional for a British automobile, gauges are by SMITHS. Behind the three-spoke wooden wheel and column-mounted shifter is found instrumentation in the form of a 130-mph / 210 km/h speedometer with odometer and trip odometer incorporated within, a 6,000 RPM tachometer with 4,500 RPM red line, fuel gauge, amp-meter, oil pressure gauge and coolant temperature gauge. The dash is further equipped with warning lights for brakes, fuel, oil and coolant levels. There are 83,000 miles shown on the SMITHS odometer.
The 6.75 litre engine is constructed primarily of aluminum and features dual carburetors. It produced 189 horsepower when new. The original robust three-speed automatic is a TH-400 unit manufactured by General Motors and commissioned during the era by Rolls. This Drop Head is a rear-drive unit.

My pension (and wife) will not allow me to bid on this beautiful piece of history. If you have ever ridden in a Rolls you will know that a bid of $24,000 is well below the actual value of this car. I have seen similiar vehicles but NOT in as nice condition sell in excess of $50,000..so head to the bank and get a loan or ask the wife ..or perhaps maybe the wife is the one that wants it…let see what the final price is…my bet $62,500
Please Go Through the Gallery With a Bourbon XO, listening to Stan Getz & Joao Gilberto, Corcovado… AND BID!!!!!!!! Don’t Stop on A Dream!!!!
