20 Years Owned 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Convertible 6-Speed Manual

Available here is a 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Convertible, finished in Black over a Very Dark Gray leather interior. This example is powered by a 5.7-litre LS1 V8 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and Torsen II limited-slip differential. It has been with its current Ontario owner since 2005 and is offered with 159,700 kilometres on the odometer, two keys, a premium fitted cover, and service records. According to the GM documentation included in the gallery, it is one of 106 for the Canadian market for the 2FV67 model number in a WS6 build.

The exterior is finished in factory black paint with WS6-specific styling elements, including a functional Ram Air hood, WS6-specific front fascia, integrated fog lights, quad exhaust outlets, and WS6 suspension. The black convertible soft top is shown in both raised and lowered positions in the gallery and is fitted with a clear rear window. The car rides on factory chrome five-spoke alloy wheels, fitted with tires installed in June 2022 at 154,857 km. Date codes are shown in the gallery.

The interior features seating for four and is upholstered in Very Dark Gray leather. Equipment includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A Hurst short-throw shifter is in place, and while the factory 10-speaker Monsoon sound system is retained, a non-original head unit has been installed. Instrumentation includes a 250 km/h speedometer, a 6000 RPM redline tachometer maxing out at 7000 RPM, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, and fuel level. The dashboard and door cards present without visible cracking.

Power comes from GM’s 5.7-litre LS1 V8, factory-rated at 320 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque in WS6 configuration. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and a Torsen II limited-slip differential. The WS6 package also includes suspension upgrades with stiffer springs, thicker sway bars, and revised geometry for improved handling. Additional standard equipment for LS1-powered cars in 1999 included electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, GM’s ASR traction control system, and a 75 litre non-metallic fuel tank.

Service during current ownership includes clutch and transmission replacement under warranty, repair of the power driver’s seat, replacement of the power antenna, new catalytic converter installation, replacement of the ABS accelerator and servo control module, and headlamp actuator repairs.
