The seller is a mechanical shop with dealer licence and maintained the car prior to purchasing from its customer, where Porsche servicing is an everyday occurrence. As probably expected by Ontario shoppers from such a seller, the car will be delivered to its new owner with an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate. It also comes with a couple of notable bonuses. While the front brakes were replaced within the past 10,000 km (a work order appears in the photo gallery), the seller is replacing the rear pads and rotors while the auction is running and the car will be delivered with these. As well, while the car is currently riding on wheels from a 997 Turbo, the original 19” Carrera Sport set is included with a set of 2016 Michelin Pilots installed. One of these is photographed toward the end of the gallery, all four come with the car.
Finished in Meteor grey metallic, it sports an equally understated black leather interior. Wheels are a five triple-spoke set from a 997 Turbo. They wear Michelin Pilot Sport N2 tires with 2015 and ‘11 date codes; the “N” denotes Porsche spec./approved for use by Stuttgart. Up front, the car is rolling on 235/35R19 tires while out back they are 295/30R19, all Y-speed rated. The compressor system to seal a flat is pictured in the photo gallery with other front trunk appointments. This is also where the C4S’s battery is located, manufacture date is 11/18. There is a Carfax report in the photo gallery and it reports no accidents and a history in Ontario from the time when the car was a month old, at which time it was imported from the US, all taxes and duties were paid then – note the “RIV.ca” sticker in the photo gallery, located in the driver door jamb. The Carfax also sets out how the seller’s repair shop has serviced this C4S for some years. The next owner will be the third in the car’s history, excluding the original owner’s leasing company and the current dealer owner.
The Meteor Grey exterior features a powered rear spoiler which is speed-activated. There is also a button on the dash which facilitates raising and lowering the spoiler from the driver’s seat. Light lenses and glass are excellent – unchipped, uncracked and the possess nice clarity. Glass is all labeled Sekurit, the OEM supplier. There is a mark behind the driver’s side headlight as well as a very small dent above the RR wheel, both shown with a twonie in the photo gallery for perspective. Chromed dual exhaust tips on both sides complete the sporty look.
This C4S is very well-optioned. Option sheet is included below and in the gallery. Inside, there are power heated front seats, Sport Chrono Package, Navigation and Bose High End sound. Full leather also covers dash and door cards, as opposed to partial leather (where cards and dash are vinyl) while door jambs and storage compartment are Carrera 4S labelled, stainless steel and illumination on the former. Inside the glove compartment is the control unit for the Passport SRX radar detector; black rectangular modules are also visible in the licence plate areas, contributing to making the sport exhaust a treat to the senses. Headliner is in rich Alcantara. Shift knob and emergency brake handle are appointed in stainless steel. Leather seating and steering wheel surfaces have been well cared for as they look and feel almost new. All of this leather also supplies the unmistakably Porsche scent of the interior.
Engine bay photos show off the cleanliness of the 3.8 litre and its surroundings. Out of the factory, the flat-six supplied 355 horsepower. All decals adhered at the factory remain intact, implying great care.
The head unit display screen features a colour Porsche logo when powered up, this can be seen in the gallery – a modern unit for the 2007 model year. Door sills, featuring Carrera 4S badging, and door cards have been well cared for but perhaps the best indication of care are the soft-touch buttons controlling the radio and HVAC system. Nice to the touch but these are worn out on many period 997s – fortunately, not the case on this example, all present very well/as near new. The chrono package featured on this car, with clock conspicuously placed mid-dash, gives it a rally car vibe.
Seller’s shop was charged by the prior owner with the upkeep of this C4S during his custodianship. Recent servicing going back to Summer 2019 has included new spark plugs, ignition coils, cabin air filter, tire pressure monitoring sensors, a drive belt front brakes – pads/rotors/wear sensors and synthetic oil servicing. As mentioned earlier, the car will be delivered with brand new pads and rotors in the rear. All factory manuals remain with the car and will come with it.
This C4S is available in Toronto East and can be viewed by appointment, use the “Contact Seller” button at the base of the “CCC Vital Info” information box.
There was a question sent privately about whether this is a No Reserve auction.
From our How It Works page:
Sellers may or may not attach a reserve to their auctions, the minimum price at which they are willing to sell. It’s the seller’s choice. In our seller packages, we advise sellers of our rule to not disclose reserve price. For “No Reserve” auctions “No Reserve” is indicated in the title of the auction page.
There is no such notation here, indicating that a reserve price is in place.
Thanks for raising it!
