2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 6-Speed Manual
Here is a 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 6-Speed Manual finished in a one-year-only colour of Green with Envy Pearl Coat. The original Challengers of the early ‘70s, which created the inspiration for the wildly successful modern Challenger whose run went from 2008 to 2023, had colourful paint names such as Panther Pink, Plum Crazy and Top Banana. In addition to the ’70 – ’74 cars being the inspiration for the modern car itself, these paint names would also be the inspiration for this 2011 SRT in Green with Envy. There were just over 400 Green with Envy SRT-8s with manual transmission and dual black stripes of production of about 44,000 Challengers for 2011, and this is in all of North America. This Canadian market car is a rare bird indeed and it comes with a clean Carfax and – Ontario buyers take note – an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate.

This car has travelled under 119,000 kilometres, the owner mentions that these are fair weather kilometres only and its appearance would support this, including the underside. The Green with Envy Pearl Coat paint is complemented by dual black stripes on the outside with Dark Slate Grey microsuede and leather in the cabin. While the 2011 SRT Challengers are the fourth year of production for the modern Challenger, this is the first year for the 6.4 litre Hemi engine, good for generous factory ratings of 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. It is paired with a Tremec 6-Speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. There are spoilers front and rear, 20” wheels, Kicker stereo, Brembo brakes all around, and heated front seats – powered on the driver’s side.
Beyond the Green with Envy Pearl Coat paint and dual black stripes, other exterior features include front and rear spoilers, aluminum fuel cap, side mirrors with heat, an aftermarket Mopar exhaust system with dressed-up exits showing Mopar embossing and an aftermarket Mopar Shaker hood – an upgrade into the four-figures before labour. Another performance upgrade is the short-travel Hurst shifter for the six-speed – there is a Hurst emblem badge on the rear spoiler to indicate this. The current owner has driven the car approximately 25,000 km over his six years of ownership, before which it was owned by a licensed technician at a Dodge dealer. During his custodianship, the seller changed the oil regularly and changed the battery.
The 20” aluminum wheels are partially painted to yield a two-tone look. They are skinned in a staggered set of Y-rated Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, 245/45R20 in front and 255/45R20 out back. The previous Chrysler dealership licensed technician owner ran the car with aftermarket wheels and tires; the current owner mentions that the current tires have been driven approximately 20,000 km. A performance-tuned suspension is a stock part of the SRT equipment, as are 4-piston Brembo calipers with vented discs at all four corners.
In the cabin, the seats are trimmed in Dark Slate Grey leather with microsuede inserts, a material also employed on the door cards. There is an exterior-matching green stripe and “SRT” embroidery on each of the front bucket seatbacks. Front seats are heated, the 60/40 split folding rear bench is equipped with three shoulder belts as well as an arm rest usable when the centre position goes unoccupied. The car is equipped with keyless entry, Kicker stereo with Chrysler’s Uconnect system supported by a trunk-mounted subwoofer and cruise control.
The three-spoke steering wheel (we consider the bottom a double spoke!) has controls for the infotainment system and cruise control incorporated within. It fronts black-on-white gauges 300 km/h speedometer and an 8000 RPM tachometer with 6250 RPM redline. These are flanked by a fuel gauge to the left and a coolant temperature gauge to the right. Below the gauges are digital displays and warning lights, where the odometer indicates under 119,000 km driven.
This 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 6-Speed Manual with Shaker hood is available with a clean Carfax, Ontario Safety Standards Certificate, the window sticker, factory car cover, one key and owner’s manuals from the owner in Welland, Ontario.
