39K km 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
This is a US-Market 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe which the seller bought in Scottsdale, Arizona and had shipped to his home near Georgian Bay, in Ontario. A low-mileage example it has not seen a Canadian winter. The fourth-generation Corvette, widely known as the C4, was released for the 1984 model year after 1983 Corvettes were not generally available (fewer than 50 were considered 1983 models but these were GM prototype and pre-production vehicles only). It is the generation by which enthusiasts generally consider the Corvette to have transitioned from America’s Sports Car to America’s supercar. However, the C4 did not come of age until the 1990 Corvette ZR-1 which boasted 375 horsepower and then even the base powerplant’s output was improved to 300 horsepower with the 1992 model year. Count on Chevrolet to keep up the momentum, the ‘93 was special because of the 40th Anniversary model released to commemorate Corvettes since 1953.

While considered a coupe, the car is equipped with an opening overhead covered by a Targa top. The top is made of glass, bronze-tinted with “black sun shade” vinyl commissioned by the former Arizona owner to provide shelter from the sun’s heat. Not your typical candy apple red, this car is finished in Polo Green II Metallic paint which despite being original retains brilliant lustre. In addition to the low mileage, the paint reflects indoor storage, always (the original owner of this car cared for it over 26 years). No scratches, dents or blemishes are evident in the paint, other than very minor stone chipping in the front difficult to spot in the photos. It is dark but catches the sun brilliantly. Glass is also faultless while the original “sawblade” 17” staggered wheels are unmarked. Front wheels are 9-1/2” wide, the rears are a meaty 9-1/2”. Tires on this car were installed in 2023 and have about 250 km on them and were installed by Stingray Corvette in Mississauga, On – Continental Extreme Sport Contact Sport 02 W-rated, 245/45 in the front and 285/40 in the rear. The pop-up headlights remain a fun Corvette feature of the past, they disappeared with the release of the C6 Corvette.
The interior of this C4 is at least as presentable as the outside. It features Light Beige Leather, a beautiful complement to the Polo Green paint. The headrests have the 40th Anniversary logo embroidered into them. Seats are unmarked and the lack of creasing or scuffs is consistent with the low mileage of this car – forget about tears. Matching door cards are equally presentable. The interior comes with many conveniences and creature comforts – the leather, power windows/locks/mirrors/seats, remote hatch release, digital climate control, trip computer, fog lights and cruise control, to name a few. Instrumentation is clear and controls do not suffer from any discolouration or fading The owner is including the set of Coco mats as shown in the photos, an enthusiast favourite and also providing some contrast for the interior. The matching carpet in the hatch is as good as that in the cockpit, appearing as new.
This is a “late” 1993 model, having been produced in July 1993 and delivered at retail in December of that year. As seen on the plaque on the console this ’93 Corvette’s LT1 5.7 litre V8 was rated at 300 horsepower and 340 lb.-ft. of torque, achieved at 5000 and 3600 RPM, respectively. The four-speed 4L60 automatic robustly gets the power to the rear wheels, still shifting as designed. The clamshell hood is an unofficial trademark of a front-engined Corvette. One look underneath reveals a very clean engine compartment, all original labels and decals remain unmarked and perfectly legible. Pulleys, belts and hoses also pass visual inspection with flying colours Ahead of its time for this feature, this C4 offers traction control which combined with the firm suspension and current new tires for an excellent-handling car. Underneath, the car shows off its “Never Driven in Rain”, garaged past – very clean. Most recent service was an oil change and rubber seal repair by a GM dealer, few km driven since. No flaws known to the owner – cosmetic or mechanical.
This 39K km 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is available from its first Canadian owner with two sets of keys in Annan, Ontario, on beautiful Georgian Bay.

A quick note about daytime running lights: they became a Transport Canada requirement for all new cars sold in Canada with the 1991 model year. So, Corvettes sold new in Canada for the 1993 model year came with daytime running lights as standard equipment installed by GM. As set out in the listing, this car was first retailed in the United States and, as such, not subject to Transport Canada regulation. Being that this car was brought to Canada when it was over 15 years old, it was exempt from the Registrar of Imported Vehicles program – which requires DRLs for cars under its jurisdiction. Thus, this car is street legal in Canada without the DRLs – though the new owner may choose to install them, in which case he/she will probably opt to have them be within the in-bumper lights rather than the pop-ups – just as the Canadian-market ’93 Corvettes were equipped.
Good luck, bidders!
Sorry, I forgot to mention the air conditioning works flawlessly.
Thank you for the questions. Sorry for the delay in the response, We left Saturday at 6:15 am for an all day Club Driving Tour (not with the Corvette), and didn’t return until late evening. All features in are in excellent working order (headlights, radio, power antenna), etc. I’m not sure there were daytime running lights in 1993, however it is absolutely possible to drive the car, without turning the lights on. There are 2 keys but no key fobs. I understand you can order an aftermarket key fob. I haven’t done it as I wanted to keep the car as original as possible.
@Chevy2guy – Thanks for the bid! …borrowed from our “How It Works” page, under “About Us” in the menu at the top of each page: “For ‘No Reserve’ auctions ‘No Reserve’ is indicated in the title of the auction page”. It is not indicated in this auction, thus there is a reserve price. Please have a look, and Good Luck with the bidding!
Is there a reserve on this auction ?
Oops, I see that 2 sets of keys is mentioned.
When the car is running and driving the headlight are up. Did somebody make the daytime running lights the headlights?! Could you tell us if the car can be driving around in the daylight with the headlights down.
Spare keys? Is it coming with the Key Fobs?
All features in proper working order? i.e climate control blend doors and power antenna….etc etc etc
Hello everyone, just a note to say that we have added a photo of the odometer as no. 264 in the gallery, 38971 km. Good luck, bidders!
