Custom 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door Sedan
Â
This is a custom 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door which has been in the hands of the current owner for three years and which has a history of being a race car (1/8 and 1/4 mile) in the United States prior to being imported to Canada some five years back. It is believed to have been used exclusively for racing until it wore licence plates for the first time when it came to Canada. The powertrain has been extensively tuned since it came into the hands of the current owner and the engine can be heard in the videos lower down in the listing. Engine is a 1970 350 cubic-inch Chevy V8 which has been ported and polished – spec sheet and menu pricing for the engine from a Louisiana shop is included in the gallery. Getting the power to the rear wheels is a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic which is shifted manually, also illustrated in the videos.

Other performance equipment includes reconditioned Brodex heads, an Edelbrock performance intake, roller lifters. roller rockers, three-inch exhaust pipes and Quick Performance rear end. It has a fuel cell electric fuel pump and a refreshed distributor. The B&M floor shifter is accented by a samurai handle for shifting. While an automatic transmission, the TH-400 is shifted manually. The aluminum radiator is cooled by dual fans – one is operable from the dash, though the owner suggests that cooling is not a problem for this Tri-Five Chevy and does not generally activate the dash-operated fan.
The car was refinished prior to the ownership of the seller in the trademark ’55 Chevy two-tone pattern, in blue and white. Paint remains good, though it does show mirror varied scuffs and touch-ups which are illustrated in the gallery. Details in the exterior include details include chrome side spears unique to the ‘55, mirrors, and rear bumper as well as a hood scoop, streamlined front bumper in stainless steel, Chevrolet badging, and dual exhaust outlets exiting on the underside, captured in the photos of the undercarriage and start-up video.

Fifteen-inch aluminum-weld wheels are staggered, wearing T-rated Hercules Road Tour 455 tires measuring P205/75 up front and BF Goodrich Radial T/As aft of the cabin, sized at 275/60 and S-speed rated. Tread remains good, seller notes that they were installed prior to his ownership. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs in the front and drums in the rear. Front suspension is Mustang II, featuring coil overs while the rear has leaf springs and struts.Â
The cabin is very presentable, featuring black and white seats free of tears and not showing wear. Both the front and rear are equipped with bench-style seating, the front seat backs split for ease of ingress and egress to the rear. The square stitch pattern of the seats is matched by the door cards as is the colour scheme. Front and rear passengers can use functional roll-up windows, the fronts complemented by vent windows opened by a second crank on each door. Carpets are in a matching black with smartly embroidered front floor mats. Newer instrumentation is in place – a 160 MPH speedometer with LCD odometer reading 3000 miles (TMU) is flanked by a voltmeter and water temperature gauge, fronted by a three open spoke steering wheel. Accessory gauges in the centre of the dash include oil pressure and fuel gauge while a large tachometer is installed on the surface of the dash. Red switches on the dash control the second radiator fan and the fuel pump.   An original Chevrolet logo is emblazoned on the passenger side of the dash. A fun feature is the Edelbrock air cleaner design speakers on the rear parcel shelf, though with no radio these are not connected.
The trunk is usable though for this non-daily driver, though its main function is fuel tank access. While the fuel door on the driver’s side rear quarter remains in place, there is no filler neck to the gas tank and refueling is directly to the tank by access in the trunk. This is also where the Optima battery is installed. With the location of the fuel tank, the trunk’s floor is vented.
Various receipts are included in the gallery. The seller has spent over $2,000 in 2023, readying this car for auction. Recent maintenance includes spark plugs, wires, distributor and an oil/filter change. There is other varied documentation on hand to go with the car, from wiring diagrams to installation instructions and parts receipts.Â
This Custom 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door is available with four keys and described documentation from its owner in Milton, On.

Hi every one. First i would like to thank David for all the help getting this posted. This car is extremely fun to drive and all the thumbs up , pictures taken while driving or at cruise nights. It stands out from other tri 5s because of the gasser look. Sad to see her go but it’s time for her to have a new owner to experience fun of owning her. I always stored her inside (heated space). If u have any questions or want to see her please use the contact seller button in CCC vital info. Thanks
Hi Everyone. We have updated the listing based on information just supplied by the owner: with respect to (i) the car’s history, in the first paragraph; and (ii) the red switches on the dash, in the fifth paragraph.
Good luck, bidders!
