No Reserve 1965 Rover TC 2000, A Thrifty Thursday Offering
This 1965 Rover TC 2000 four-door sedan is finished in black with a contrasting white roof, a red interior and is offered at NO RESERVE. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, factory brightwork, quad headlamps, distinctive vertical tail lamps, and “ROVER” block lettering across the rear deck. The odometer reading is not documented, and total mileage is unknown (TMU).
The cabin is trimmed in red leather upholstery and configured with a four-door layout. Power is supplied by a single overhead camshaft 2 litre inline-four, equipped with twin SU carburetors and factory rated at 122 HP. A four-speed manual synchromesh transmission teams with rear-wheel drive. The Rover P6 chassis incorporates De Dion rear suspension and servo-assisted disc brakes at all four corners, both of which were innovative for sedans of the era. The car will require mechanical inspection and restoration before road use.
The sale includes a binder of photographs and handwritten service records documenting several decades of ownership. Additional notes cover routine servicing, fuel consumption, and seasonal driving, illustrating a long history of careful stewardship.
This 1965 Rover 2000 TC is offered with a book of records and a clean registration by the seller in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Important Notes: The owner has engaged the seller to oversee the sale of various items including a car collection during a downsizing. While this sedan was photographed by CCC, there was no battery in the car when we attended. So, it was neither started nor driven while we were on site. This car is offered as is, where is with no representations made by the owner beyond the photographs. The vehicle is to be collected from the photographed heated storage facility. It being a private home, no repairs can be carried out at the seller’s site.
