The cabin is trimmed in black leather upholstery with contrasting yellow seatbelts and finished with mustard-gold loop-pile carpeting across the footwells and transmission tunnel. Leather has been repaired on the drivers side of the rear bench and two split seams are noted on the drivers seat. Wood-veneer inlays run along the upper door panels and across the dashboard, adding a warm contrast to the dark seating surfaces. Factory equipment includes manual windows, a three-spoke wood-rim steering wheel, and full instrumentation: a horizontal “ribbon” speedometer reading up to 120 MPH with a smaller font km/h scale, a 7000 RPM tachometer with a 6000 RPM redline, and auxiliary oil-pressure and ammeter gauges. Chrome pull knobs and black rocker switches line the centre console beneath the period AM/FM radio. The passenger side glove box door shows imperfection from long-term storage.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre single-overhead-cam inline-four fitted with twin SU carburetors, factory-rated at 124 HP and 127 lb-ft of torque. A four-speed manual gearbox with full synchromesh delivers output to the rear wheels. The TC specification introduced revised suspension settings for sportier handling, employing a De Dion rear layout with inboard disc brakes. This configuration was among the first mass-produced systems to use power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The odometer displays below 58,000 miles, though true mileage is unknown (TMU).
The sale includes a binder of photographs and handwritten service records documenting decades of regular use. Maintenance logs detail an engine rebuild, repairs to floors, sills, and wheel arches, and paintwork performed during the 1970s and 1980s under current ownership. Additional notes cover routine servicing, fuel consumption, and seasonal driving, illustrating a long history of careful stewardship. A full-size spare tire is included. The car will require mechanical inspection and recommissioning before road use.
This 1967 Rover 2000 TC is offered with an owner’s manual, two keys, a book of records, a clean registration and a spare tire by the seller in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Important Notes: The owner has engaged the seller to oversee the sale of various items including a car collection during a downsizing. There will be more on our website this and next “Thrifty Thursday”. While this sedan was photographed by CCC, there was no battery in the car when we attended. So, it was neither started nor driven while we were on site. This car is offered as is, where is with no representations made by the owner beyond the photographs. The vehicle is to be collected from the photographed heated storage facility. It being a private home, no repairs can be carried out at the seller’s site.
