Original Owner 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS

Here is a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS purchased new by the seller and driven under 33,000 km since.  Finished in Arctic White, it features a contrasting charcoal interior with matching white trim that really pops.  The car is powered by a  6.2L V8 LT1 engine providing power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles.  Additional features include front spoiler, rear spoiler, glass sunroof, Bose infotainment with navigation, multi-zone climate control and heated steering wheel.  The latter has not likely been used by the owner as this car has not been driven in cold weather, stored winters – even so, an anti-rust device is equipped under-hood – and the undercarriage reflects this.  The car’s Carfax is clean – no claims.  The report is included in CCC Vital Info.

The car’s finish is Arctic white with various black trim, paramount of which are the black hood openings.  Staggered stock silver five-spoke aluminum 20” wheels with Chevrolet centre caps are on the car and show some scuffing.  The original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires also remain on the car and need replacing.  With some being particular about tires, the owner opted to leave the originals so that the buyer could make tire choice; owner adjusted his reserve accordingly.  The Eagles are P245/40 in front and P275/35 in the rear.  Underneath are Brembo brakes with ABS and Chevrolet insignia on the calipers with safety features extended by driveline traction control and electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

Eight- (D) and six-way (P) power front seats are trimmed in white and charcoal leather and include both heating function and cooling function.  An accent SS logo appears on the front seats while contrasting stitching provides a sharp complement.  Other interior amenities include shift paddles; the 9-speaker Bose infotainment with LCD monitor, voice-activated navigation, Bluetooth and Sirius XM satellite radio (subscription required); remote entry; power mirrors; and rear park parking assist.

The performance of stock 6.2 litre LT1 V8 with direct injection has been amplified by an aftermarket Borla “Attack” exhaust that the owner believes increases output beyond the 455 horsepower at which the engine was rated from the factory (6000 RPM) – though he has not had it measured on a Dyno.  Stock torque rating is 455 lb.-ft at 4400 RPM.  In addition to the Borla exhaust with carbon tips, a K&N air filter is fitted along with ceramic coated headers.  Please listen to the sounds in the videos where the engine is running.

Instrumentation includes a 330 km/h speedometer – indicative of a Canadian-market model as the US-market model speedometer tops out at 200, whether the needle is measuring km/h or MPH.  The 7500 RPM tachometer has a redline at 6500 RPM, 500 RPM above maximum power.  The remainder of gauges in the pod light up when the car is running – oil pressure, water temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and voltmeter below a compass display.  A handy heads-up display (HUD) is also featured.  Being from the 50th Anniversary year of the first Camaros in 1967, “FIFTY” is inscribed on the lower spoke of the steering wheel.

The features list of this 2SS Camaro is long.  More items to mention are:  OnStar, strip lighting in the footwells, tinted windows, aluminum kick plates, and an illuminated Chevrolet emblem in front– this in addition to the red SS badging that provides contrast to the exterior.

There are minor paint nicks on the front from regular operation and a small perforation in the driver’s seat upholstery at the left shoulder.  There is also a mark on the stone guard in front of the rear wheel, driver’s side.  No repairs or exceptional maintenance has been needed on this car since new.  It has been treated to an oil change in preparation for sale and all maintenance records have been retained by the owner, to be passed on to the buyer – same for receipts for the performance upgrades.

This Original Owner 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS is available with clean Carfax, two keys, custom Camaro SS licence plate frame, owner’s manual, original window sticker (generated from the order/build sheet) from the original owner in Cambridge, Ontario.
