Sub-90K km 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary 6-Speed Manual

Presented here is a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary Edition, finished in its factory shade of 50th Anniversary Red Metallic over a Shale leather interior. Offered by the owner since 2022, this car is powered by a LS1 5.7-litre V8 connected to a six-speed manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.  This special edition Corvette showcases unique anniversary styling cues distinguishing it from standard models.  The Anniversary Red Metallic paint remains in excellent condition and is complemented by special 50th Anniversary badging on the nose, front fenders, decklid, and embroidered headrests. A matching Shale soft top caps the car’s profile, manually operated with a heated glass rear window – see it operated among our videos.

Lighting is handled by signature pop-up headlights – offered on all Corvettes from 1963 through 2004 model years – and integrated fog lamps, while the subtle body lines remind onlookers of the fifth-generation Corvette’s unmistakable silhouette.  The car possesses various minor cosmetic flaws, shown in our gallery.  Inside, the Shale leather cabin highlights this model’s upmarket trim.

The bucket seats are power-adjustable and include 50th Anniversary embroidery on the headrests. The driver benefits from a head-up display, memory seat settings, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control. A factory-installed Bose premium sound system delivers clear audio through a 12-disc CD changer, part of the Anniversary package. Additional touches include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and matching Shale carpeting. Interior surfaces, upholstery, and trim all present very well, implying consistent care.

The car retains its stock five-spoke 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires sized 245/45R17 up front and 275/40R18 in the rear, Y-rated and 2017 date coded all around, all shown in the gallery.  The tires show good tread depth and complement the Corvette’s touring and performance balance.  We noted one wheel scuff, on the front driver’s side wheel, please see our review video.  Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and Corvette-branded front calipers, while Magnetic Selective Ride Control, whose control is on the console (see photo), adjusts suspension damping in real-time to enhance handling.

Under the hood, the LS1 5.7-litre V8 engine was factory-rated at 350 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.  The Corsa quad exhaust tips are an upgrade that adds to the sporty look.  Hear it at idle and under load in our videos below this write-up.  It remains otherwise unmodified and operates as designed, with recent repairs beyond seasonal maintenance including a new battery, active handling sensor, headlight motor, and tire pressure monitoring system under current ownership.  Shifting is by a six-speed manual gearbox and the seller believes it will pass Ontario Safety as it sits.
