2021 08 24 CCC Featured External Listing 1964 Buick LeSabre Convertible
The LeSabre is a venerable name plate in the storied Buick history. Beginning in 1959, the example at hand is a product of its sixth model year. Finished in red from the factory, the black vinyl seats with white trim provide a dramatic contrast. Convertible top in black completes the contrast in colour.  Seller claims this is an all-original car. If this includes paint, it really does have our attention.

This B-body ‘vert runs its original 300 cubic-inch engine. Fuel delivery is by a four-barrel carb and the three-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission sends the power to the rear wheels. Horsepower rating from the factory was an even 250; with the 11:1 compression ratio, the engine requires premium fuel.

Buick took pride at the time this car was built in being a premium marque. This car comes with power steering, power brakes, power windows and a power top. While these are common features on a modern car, they were not as widely offered in 1964.

The owner states that there is absolutely no rust, which makes this a find for a nearly 60-year-old car. Recent maintenance is reported as including new brakes, new shocks, new front coils, new carpet, new top. As well, heads have been rebuilt as has the carb.

It looks like a nice original package overall. Find this 1964 Buick LeSabre Convertible in Maple Ridge, BC on Craigslist for $25,000.
