Sub-21K km 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 6-speed Manual
Here is a beautifully kept 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 offered from a Ford enthusiast’s collection. The 2007 Shelby GT500 was the first use of the hallowed Shelby name on a Ford Mustang since the 1970 model year. To commemorate the edition, Shelby America offered a VIN numbered plaque – autographed by the legendary Carroll Shelby himself, who passed away in 2012 after leading a life of speed and muscle cars. This Shelby GT500 coupe is so equipped after the seller special-ordered it from Shelby America. There is also a Certificate of Authenticity for this Shelby GT500, setting out that it is one of 8152 coupes and one of only 1,689 copies in ebony. It is image #150 in the Photo Gallery.
For connoisseurs of Ford product, this car needs no introduction and its importance in the lineage of storied Mustang line is well-known. Those aficionados in Ontario may be heading to the Ford Stampede at Flamboro Raceway this Sunday, July 24 – we will be there with the car so please do come to see this Shelby GT500 and the first-rate show. And for a visit, of course.

This Shelby GT500 is finished in its original black clearcoat with the Shelby Tungsten stripe package in place from front to back. These cars were well equipped so the options list is short. Standard equipment on the Shelby GT500 are fog lamps, rear trunk lid spoiler and 18” machined SVT (Special Vehicle Team, a Ford designation, centre caps are so branded) staggered aluminum wheels. Evidence of the care this car has enjoyed is that it wears its original Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar run-flat tires, and with plenty of tread remaining both in front and rear. They are 255/45 in the front, 285/40 in the rear and W speed-rated. Special badging, an aggressive front lip and a vented hood also indicate that this is no ordinary Mustang – a Cobra lurks on the grille, GT500 is incorporated into the rocker panel stripes and a conspicuous SHELBY badge appears on the back of the trunk lid, for all of those trying to keep up. All of the original Ford Carlite glass remains in place. One has to look very closely but there are two very small paint chips on the front end of the car. These are illustrated in the photo gallery, images #141 and #142.
The interior is a matching black, it shows little wear or evidence of use. SVT leather interior and SVT instrumentation are noted on the factory invoice – instrumentation is fronted by a 260 km/h speedometer and a tachometer with 6000 RPM red line. The leather driver’s seat is power-operated, the passenger’s is equipped with manual controls, both seatbacks have the snake embossed above the lumbar, between the two is a console with armrest and leather with chrome shifter; in the rear is a split folding back seat. Original floor mats are in place and remain as spotless as the rest of the car – this is a fair weather car only, and very limited use at that. Remote keyless entry, power windows, power locks, power trunk release, power mirrors, cruise control, a/c and tilt steering are all on offer while the three-spoke steering wheel features Shelby GT500 branding with the same snake as on the grille. The original Shaker head unit with AM/FM/in-dash 6 CD remains with a 12V power outlet above, sound is strong and there is a factory active anti-theft system to protect it and the car as a whole. This Shelby GT500 has not been messed with, it remains stock and as it was delivered by Parkway Ford in Waterloo, On.
Under the hood is where the real enjoyment lies with this Shelby GT500. The supercharged 5.4 litre 32-valve V8 is good for 500 horsepower, at 6000 RPM while torque was rated 480 lb.-ft. when new (4500 RPM). The power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission and the car gets its stopping power from four-wheel vented disc brakes by Brembo. The car is equipped with traction control and there are stabilizer bars, front and rear. True to original, a Ford Motorcraft battery is installed. The underside is as clean as one would expect from a car with this one’s history – it appears all but new, including the polished differential cover and Ford-branded exhaust components. With its low mileage and prudent use, this Shelby GT500 has needed little maintenance; owners report a DIY oil change under 500 km ago – in 2020 – and that the airbag recall work has been completed, despite Carfax’s report to the contrary. White Oak Ford’s work order for the recall work is in the gallery, see image 148.
This sub-21K km 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 6-speed Manual is available with original window price sticker, factory books, initial Ford document, dealer’s bill of sale, sales brochure as well as 2 keys and fobs from its original owner in Mississauga, Ontario. The owner is also including Shelby sill plates, new in box, which have never been installed.

No need for an engine detail on this one. Its as clean as it gets, beautiful ride. Just over 3 days to go.. and its Sunday , so everyone has time to drop by the bank and bid… best of luck to those bidding..
Hi MJR, thanks for your inquiry. Sorry I am late to the party but still learning how this works. I want to confirm that the tires are in fact the factory originals and in great shape as you can see in the photos.
Yes I saw that. The cars were delivered with Goodyear F1s and I wanted to be sure what was written meant it was still on the tires it was delivered with, rather than it had original make and spec tires but that were newer. Thanks for clarifying.
@RJM – Thanks for the question, we will answer this one on behalf of the owner because the owner told us about this and we covered it in the listing (paragraph after first video). The car is wearing its original tires. Please read carefully!

Thank you.
Are these the original tires, or have they been replaced? And if replaced, how long ago?
Hi Everyone. I am the seller and original owner of this 2007 Shelby GT500 Coupe. I have always babied this car, kept it in a heated garage and stored for winters. There have been no issues with the car, save for the airbag recall, but that has been taken care of. I am available through the course of the auction to answer your questions, here in the Comments section or privately through the “Contact Seller” button in “CCC Vital Info”. I can show the car upon request or it car be seen at the Ford Stampede as mentioned at the top of the listing this Sunday. Good luck!
