Sub-50K km 1995 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD Hatchback 5-speed Manual **SOLD on the CCC Back Lot**
Here is an extremely unique find, a sub-50K km 1995 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD Hatchback 5-speed manual. This is the initial year of the second-generation (2G) Talon, known as a real pocket rocket in its era. It is a cousin to the Mitsubishi Eclipse – these cars were produced by Diamond Star Motors, a successful joint venture between Mitsubishi and Chrysler; the Plymouth Laser was also part of the first generation. It is very rare to see one preserved as well as the example at hand, this was owned by a Canadian snowbird until its acquisition by the seller in April 2022 from the estate. Though originally delivered in Ontario, it has spent most of its life in Florida and was registered there from 2003 until the seller’s purchase. A commuter from the south end of Milton, On to Hamilton, On, the seller had planned to use it as his ride to and from work but has decided that the car is better enjoyed as an enthusiast car, protected from the whims of other commuters and their ways on the Queen Elizabeth Way highway. The Carfax is clear of accidents.

The Bright White finish is original paint and retains a nice shine, clearly suggesting that it has been stored indoors – away from the hot Florida sun. Since purchase, the owner has had the car detailed, including ceramic coating. A car in this condition would generally not be found in even Florida as, although not generally prone to rust in a southern climate, something non-exotic this age has usually spent a lot of time outside. The stock condition of this car, with even the original matching 16” white wheels, makes it even more of a rare find. Light lenses remain uncracked and clear, the car is equipped with factory fog lights below the front bumper. Ground effects below the door are stock, as are the dual chrome exhaust tips – they complement the front and decklid spoilers. Laufenn G Fit 215/55 V-rated performance all-season tires were installed in August 2021, with fewer than 700 km driven since (see Carfax and work orders in the gallery).
Inside, the seats are finished in a cream shade of leather. The dash and other components are trimmed in contrasting dark grey for a smart and tidy cabin package. Instrumentation reflects designers’ sporting intentions for the car, featuring large tachometer and speedometer, with odometer within. Original double-DIN AM/FM/CD/cassette head unit remains in place and the car is equipped with air conditioning and cruise control as well as power windows, locks, mirrors and seats. Seats have beefy bolsters with manual adjustment for front/back and recline, as well as a memory function – though the latter is currently non-functional. There are also smaller gauges in the pod for alternator, oil pressure, fuel and temperature. Driver’s seat does show some wear on the outer bolster, with one small perforation – visible at photo #41. A fun interior feature, reflecting the period: the seller can include a flip phone stand as well as the obsolete cellular phone antenna, at the buyer’s preference.
The car underwent considerable maintenance in August 2021, under 700 km ago, when the following were replaced – valve cover gaskets, a fog light bulb, four tires; as well brakes, ABS system, exhaust and emissions system were inspected. As well, a new catalytic converter was installed. Work orders are in the photo gallery. Oil was changed under 1,000 km ago, June 2021 – this appears on the Carfax report. The Carfax report indicates a potential odometer rollback. We believe this is more than likely attributable to US shops reporting a km odometer reading as an odometer reading in miles; the car’s odometer is in km, as seen in the gallery. Reviewing the odometer reporting on the Carfax, each successive reading is a higher number. This is corroborated by the Title document in the gallery. The Title specifically notes 26,588 km as at January 2, 2003 while the Carfax notes 26,588 miles on the same date. Unfortunately, we see this frequently when a km odometer reading is reported in the United States.
This sub-50K km 1995 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD Hatchback 5-speed Manual is available with two keys from the owner in Milton, Ontario.
