**NOW SOLD** 2018 Audi Q5 Technik S-Line Quattro

This 2018 Audi Q5 Technik S-Line Quattro was delivered originally by PFAFF Audi in Newmarket, Ontario on a three-year lease to the seller’s business.  Seller is a woman in her 70’s who bought the vehicle at the end of the lease because she was waiting on an ordered Porsche Macan S, which she is now enjoying and leading to the availability of her sub-100K km Q5 S-line.  Sale is being handled by her son, a CCC member from the start, who lives on the same rural road as she does outside of Sunderland, Ontario.  Carfax shows no claims and one open recall, which can be handled for the new owner on a complimentary basis by any Audi Canada dealer.  Carfax indicates two owners, technically true as Audi Canada Finance owned the vehicle during the lease term, preceding the seller’s business buying it at lease-end.  This Q5 S-Line has been dealer serviced, as also shown on the Carfax, and the owner has full service records on hand.

Short of the SQ5, this Technik S-Line is the top trim for the popular Q5, above the base Komfort and mid-range Progressiv.  The 2018 was a complete redesign from the 2017 and it is evident in many of the finishing touches, from the daytime running lights in the form of the framed headlight lenses to the push-button start and shift pattern (check it in the photos).  Also standard on the Technik trim are full LED headlights with auto high beams, Driver Assistance package, heated rear seats (in addition to those up front), upscale 19-inch alloys, 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit TFT configurable instrument cluster with the ability to shrink the digital gauges and simultaneously enlarge the multi-info display, configurable ambient interior lighting, heated and cooled cupholders, Bang & Olufsen 3D surround audio system and Audi connect telematics.  Driver Assistance includes adaptive speed control, Audi pre sense front and pre sense city autonomous braking, traffic sign recognition, active lane assist, and traffic congestion assist.  Heads-up display was optional on the Technik, this copy has it as well as adaptive air suspension – full, full load.

This Quattro is grey in colour and wears the 19s in summer with the original tires.  The car is photographed in its winter set, with 17-inch Audi OEM wheels skinned in Pirelli Ice Zero tires – 235/65R19 108H at all four corners.  Both sets are included with the sale; photo 98 at the end of the gallery illustrates **a different Q5** with the included summer 19” five double-spoke set installed.  This SUV wears a factory roof rack with anodized rails and S-Line badges, distinguishing it from most of the Q5s on the road.  Excluding the tinted glass windshield, the original windows – all showing Audi badging – wear factory tint.  Dual exhaust hardware is integrated into the rear bumper, with headlight washers being yet another premium feature.  Underneath, there are signs of normal light wear and careful use in its 3-1/2 years of service.  The exterior power heated mirrors have power fold-in/-out controllers and integrated indicator lights.  Light scratching can be seen fore of the RR wheel, it has not been buffed or treated, see photo 93; reflection in the photo is deliberate because it was invisible to the camera lens without.

The cabin of this SUV treats occupants to premium features at all points visible to the driver’s and passengers’ eyes.  Rich leather covers the seats, with more on the shifter and heated three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, S-Line badging and various other controls.  Aluminum pedals, including a beefy dead pedal, are a nod to the performance roots of Audi, the S-Line branded side sills are further reinforcement with complements in the form of brushed aluminum and contrast leather stitching.  The Bang & Olufsen sound is a considerable upgrade from the more basic Q5s and the large screen puts all of the controls at the driver’s fingertips, though with dual-zone climate control, the front passenger chooses his/her own temperature – same for the rear occupants, where there is another digital temperature control as well as a 12V power outlet.  Huge panoramic sunroof with shades furthers the luxury feel, there are also shades on the rear door windows.  OEM Q5-branded floor mats are in place, they snap into receptacles built into the floor to ensure they stay in place.  The hatch offers generous stowage space, and its door is power operated by key and button on the door itself.

Under the hood, the turbocharged 2.0 litre TFSI engine has powered this Quattro 98,000 km, comes with push-button start and is an efficient, effective powerplant, driving all four wheels (thus, the Quattro name) via the 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automated manual gearbox.  Think ease of use of a conventional automatic while shifting more quickly with fuel economy paramount – rated 27 MPG (8.7L/100 km), highway.  There is an auto start/stop feature on hand to minimize wasteful idling, also employed with fuel economy in mind.  The transmission also offers three settings:  Comfort, Auto and Dynamic (Sport) modes, which also govern steering and damper control.  Adjustable air suspension and stability control are also on offer.  The engine itself offers 252 horsepower (5000 RPM) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.  Roadside assistance (48 months from new) and Rust-through warranty (12 years from new) are transferable to the new owner.

Safety features are prodigious.  ABS, back-up camera, top-view camera, blind spot warning, Audi active lane assist, electronic brake force distribution, Forward collision warning, Parking distance sensors (front and rear), front air bags, side curtain air bags and seat-mounted side air bags form a partial list of the systems within this SUV.  This 2018 Audi Q5 Technik S-Line Quattro is available in rural Sunderland, Ontario.
