Silver-blue paint presents well in the varied lighting featured in the gallery. The majority of the paint-thickness metering readings are 6.0 and below, consistent with the clean Carfax also included in the gallery. Some scratching on the trunk lid can be seen as can corrosion on the lug nuts. Exterior features include fog lights, a power antenna which is automatically operated when the radio powers up or by a switch on the dash, ribbed tail lamps to keep some of the lens visible when obstructed by road debris, iconic Bundt wheels in 14” size, and a three-pointed star hood ornament – also an M-B icon of the day. The car comes in stock form, with no modifications noted from factory spec.
The interior is a contrasting Galaxy blue. The M-B Tex presents well – free of tears or runs. Wood trim also has a fine appearance, though showing some wear through the years, and surrounds a period Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette player head unit by Becker. Cruise control and air conditioning are equipped, though the latter is not currently functional and the running fan does exhibit intermittent squeal. Power windows and central locking are in place, the seller reports a recent window regulator replacement. One light crack is noted in the dash, it can be seen in the gallery. Hints of elegance are seen in the form of the multi-function power sunroof, the generous rear headrests which match those for front seat passengers and thermal insulated glass – all glass is emblazoned with the venerable three-pointed star.
