We were in the neighbourhood so we accepted a gracious invitation to attend the Waterloo Region Mustang Club Cruise Night.  This club is pushing 300 members, though this night featured threatening skies and cool spring temperatures so this gathering was exclusively for the club’s diehards.  We saw each of the past four generations of Mustang:  SN95 (’94 – ’04), S197 (’05 – ’14), S550 (’15 – ’23) and the current and the brand new seventh generation S650 (’24 – ).  It was clear that each car’s owner not only likes the generation his car represents but also the others.  We are thinking if we head back mid-summer, we’ll also see first generation cars (’65 – ’73), Mustang II’s (’74 – ’78) and Fox bodies (a long, fun run from ’79 to ’93).  With the ’24 Dark Horse and the 60th anniversary of the first car last month, Mustang is a hot current topic in the car culture.  We’ll recognize this with a Mustang-themed Cars n’ Coffee next month in Burlington, On, but not before a Porsche-themed CnC this Saturday.  Of course, all collector cars are welcome, please attend.  RSVP from the links on our Events page.
