2022 – A Look Back
December 2022 – Whew! Although we still have items available at Buy-It-Now prices on the CCC Back Lot, we thought it was a good time for a look back at our year. It was a year of great growth. We grew in listing count and had a lot more sales than in our first year of 2021. Thank you to the users of the site for contributing to our successes and all of the fun. The registered user base – both Basic and Fully-Registered – also grew; we had items and sales from B.C. to Newfoundland so the CCC footprint is expanding!
Here is a look back some of our most extreme sales:
Fastest car – 83K km 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Four-Door Coupe – SOLD on the CCC Back Lot
Smallest car – 1975 Triumph TR6 Convertible 4-speed Manual Winning Bid: $12,500
Loudest car – 1967 Buick Skylark 2-door Hardtop – Restored – SOLD on the CCC Back Lot
Classiest car – No Reserve – 1985 Jaguar XJ-S H.E. V12 Coupe Winning Bid: $5,500
Oldest item – 1948 Austin A40 Pick-Up Truck – SOLD on the CCC Back Lot
Cleanest item – 1989 Ford Mustang GT 5-speed Hatchback Winning Bid: $15,500
Our favourite auction – 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce 5-Speed Manual Winning Bid: $9,500
Here is why we have a soft spot for the 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. As readers of our daily update know, we launched a new service in September 2022 – the Collector Car Canada White Glove Concierge program. Under it, the seller gives us the keys and disengages from the sales process – other than some discussion with us. From there, we handle everything from soup to nuts: a pre-purchase inspection, detailing, photography, video shoot, corresponding with potential bidders. In the case of the Alfa, we even delivered the car to its new owner. So, if you know someone who has a collector car to unload but does not want to get involved, please refer them to us!
