2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Here is a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 finished in Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl over Black Leather/Suede upholstery with matching leather dash and carpets. It is equipped with a 6.4 litre Hemi V8 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quadra-Trac four-wheel-drive system. It is equipped with a limited slip differential and the 8-speed can be shifted with steering wheel-mounted paddles. The features list for this premium Jeep is long and includes: bi-xenon headlights, fog lamps, 20″ alloy wheels – summers are on aftermarket rims, winters are on the 20” OEM set – dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ParkSense anti-impact sensors, backup camera, adaptive cruise control, remote starter, heated and ventilated powered front seats, heated rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear blower direction controller, carbon-fibre interior trim, a 9-speaker Uconnect sound system with touchscreen infotainment control and voice-activated navigation, adaptive damping suspension, Brembo brakes and Bilstein shock absorbers. The owner bought it in late 2017 when it needed an engine rebuild, which was completed by a specialist, see the work order on the gallery. The SRT8 Jeep comes with a clean Carfax as linked in CCC Vital Info, owner’s manual and – Ontario buyers, please note – an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate. It is owned by the seller’s corporation.

The SRT8 Grand Cherokee distinguishes itself from the other Grand Cherokee trims mostly by the performance afforded by the 470 HP factory rating of the 392 cubic-inch Hemi V8. Beyond this, the front fascia as well as body coloured fender flares and rocker mouldings are further tells. This example is finished in Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl (Manufacturer Code PXR), featuring gloss black trim, black grille with emblem delete. The power-operated liftgate (by key fob or button inside), powered heated mirrors and dual exhaust outlets. The exhaust is an aftermarket set up by Magnaflow, whose manual is included in the gallery; the OEM exhaust system, which has done fewer kilometres than the Magnaflow, will be included with the sale. Another light modification is seen in the form of the cold air intake by AFE Power as well as a Sprint Booster power converter, manuals for both are shown in the gallery and included in the sale. The seller had the Jeep ceramic coated soon after purchasing in 2018. The very front of the hood showed bubbling from corrosion the day the gallery photos were taken. Preferring to not sell like this, the owner decided to have this addressed during auction week – please review the photos at the end of the gallery for progress on this repair.

The wheels pictured on the Jeep are an aftermarket set of 20” x 10” alloys, matching the OEM size. They are lined in Antares Majoris R1 4×4 SUV tires sized 295/45, date-coded 2021, W-rated and also the OEM size – installed in 2023, used two summers for the seller’s estimate of 15,000 km. The driver can choose from five different drive modes in the centre console which varies torque split, shift pattern and the dynamic suspension system. Braking is by vented, cross-drilled discs with Brembo calipers all around and controlled by an ABS system. Included in the sale is a set of 265/50 Continental WinterContact tires on the OEM 20” Jeep wheels with SRT engraved logo; there are imperfections on the rims and the tires are date-coded 2017.

Front bucket seats are heated, ventilated and are power-adjustable. They are trimmed in monochromatic black Natural Plus leather with suede inserts and SRT embroidery on seat backs, the driver’s seat shows creases from wear, lighter creasing is seen on the front passenger seat. Rear outward seats are also heated. Carbon fibre trim is seen on the dashboard facing and door cards, the dash itself is leather covered. There is an imperfection in the carbon fibre to the left of the steering wheel and the leather dash covering shows signs of shrinking in its centre, above the centre stack. There is a dual-zone climate control system, Weather Tech mats for all four outboard seats as well as the hatch, touchscreen infotainment with voice-activated Bluetooth and navigation. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, ParkSense anti-impact sensors front and rear, a backup camera and a forward collision warning system. Original Jeep-embroidered mats are included, as pictured in the gallery.

The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel shows an SRT emblem surrounded by a rim with variable thickness grips and three spokes. Beyond is an adjustable multi-display set of digital instruments. The speedometer tops out at 300 km/h while the 8000 RPM tachometer has a 6100 RPM redline. Please review our gallery for an illustration of the various available displays – for both the dash and infotainment centre. At the base of the instrumentation is a digital odometer showing under 205,000 km.

The 6.4 litre Hemi V8 was factory rated at 470 horsepower, achieved at 6000 RPM, and 465 lb.-ft. of torque (4300 RPM). The 8-speed automatic can be shifted with steering wheel mounted paddles and the sends power to all four corners through a limited slip differential. There are extensive maintenance records for the Jeep included on the gallery for review. The most recent oil service at time of writing was in June 2024 though the owner has pledged to have it changed before the new owner picks up the Jeep.
