1992 Chevrolet Corvette 6-Speed Manual

It is finished in Bright Aqua Metallic over a black cloth interior. Under the clamshell hood is a 5.7 litre LT1 V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This C4 is now offered by the 19-year owner with the owner’s manual, service records and a clean Carfax report.

This C4 Coupe wears its original paint in Bright Aqua Metallic. The glass roof is removable, the dedicated tool used to do this is photographed inside the centre console. As with all Corvettes from the second to fifth generations, the car is equipped with retractable pop-up headlights – which are photographed in the gallery in “UP” and “DOWN” positions. Another period Corvette feature is displayed in the form of quad taillights.

The 17” sawblades are polished and wear older Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires at all four corners. Wheels and tires are the same size at all four corners, 275/40. Discs provide stopping power at all four wheels, with ABS control. Dual exhaust is featured with two outlets on either side obscured by the decorative rounded rectangular tips.

On the inside, cloth sport buckets are on offer, black with tweed-look inserts. There are matching door cards and carpets while the driver’s seat is power-operated. Further passenger comforts are in the form of a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, clock integrated into the head unit, power windows, locks and mirrors as well as cruise control.

In the cockpit is a four-spoked airbag steering wheel – the only airbag in the car – making the passenger’s seat more usable for smaller occupants. The wheel sits in front of a digital speedometer and fuel gauge with LCD readouts. To its left and seen through the wheel is a 6000 RPM tachometer with 5500 RPM redline and to its right additional gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature and battery voltage. The six-place digital odometer indicates under 125,000 km.

The LT1 V8 features multi-port fuel injection and was factory rated at 300 horsepower, supported by 330 lb.-ft. of torque. The base 1991 Corvette was 245 horsepower, making the LT1 a desirable advancement at the time. The six-speed manual manufactured by ZF sends the power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. Service records will come with the car; during his custodianship, owner has had the car serviced by independent Corvette specialist shops. For Ontario buyers – seller expects that the car may need tires to be issued an Ontario Safety Standards certificate. Other areas he notes as needing attention are minor: hatch struts, power antenna and worn weather stripping as illustrated in the gallery.
