2024 03 06 posting More from the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow Media Day
Many will know that we attended the Canadian International AutoShowMedia Day last month. The show set a record for its best-ever attendance. Hard to believe that 371,559 wandered through – very impressive and well done, organizers! (We appreciate our private view on Media Day even more now…) Before we were able to wander the manufacturers’ exhibits, we were treated to the Car of the Year awards presented by AJAC, the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada.
While not of the collector variety, we wanted to publicize the worthy winners: 2024 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year – Toyota Grand Highlander 2024 Canadian Electric Car of the Year – Genesis Electrified G80 2024 Canadian Electric Utility Vehicle of the Year – Genesis Electrified GV70 2024 Canadian Car of the Year – Toyota Prius
Once the formalities were over, we saw a lot of noteworthy cars. So we’ll have a little more fun with the photos we bring you today. They are a couple of selections that caught our eye:  classics of circumstance as well as fun novelties, described in the captions. Enjoy the photos and dream along with us!

@vintageracer – a stunner to the naked eye as well. Seeing it was one of the many treats of wandering through the AutoShow.

@Andrew – we figured it our duty to publicize the AJAC winners but as you see, we preferred to concentrate on the collector cars assembled for the page.

The 1938 Peugeot is stunningly beautiful. I don’t recall ever even seeing a photo of one.

Judging by the appliance of the year winners it’s a damn good idea they bring in the classics! Need to remind folks that there was a true design element at one time.
