The car is finished in red and is equipped with removable T-roof panels, dual exhaust exits, rear bumper guards, pop-up headlights and a rear antenna. A paint blemish on the rear bumper cover is shown in our gallery. An interesting note about the 1977 Corvette is it was the last year the C3 displayed vertical rear glass, a look replaced by the bubble style of 1978 – 1982.

Polished 15″ five-slot Rallye alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires which have good tread and whose age is not known.  Brakes are in the form of four-wheel power-assisted discs – slotted and complemented by SSBC calipers, fitted as an upgrade. The TH-350 puts the power down to the rear wheels. The owner recommends a refinishing of the wheels.

The cabin houses 2 bucket seats upholstered in black leather with matching carpets and interior trim. Features include a stock AM/FM/cassette stereo, power windows, a rear window defogger, a tilting and telescoping steering column. On the console, there is a wired controller with 3-1/2” screen for the Holley Sniper fuel injection system. The seller notes that the Blaupunkt radio is not functioning and that interior work would need to be carried out to make the car show-ready:  clock is non-functional; new window gaskets recommended; driver’s side t-top driver side interior panel is missing; leather, miscellaneous hardware and small items are imperfect. Driver’s seat belt is a lap belt only while passenger’s side is a lap and shoulder belt.

The three-spoke steering wheel shows the crossed flags Corvette brand insignia in its hub.  It fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a 7000 RPM tachometer with 5000 RPM redline. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage as well as oil pressure are mounted in the centre stack.  The clock is currently non-functional  The period Corvette script logo is proudly display at the top of the stack, matching that between the trademark Corvette round two pairs of taillights.  The five-digit odometer shows just under 99,800 miles.  Since the restoration completed in 2008, the car has been driven approximately 5,000 miles and stored indoors otherwise.  Assembly manual and documentation for modifications included in sale, these are housed in a 3-inch binder.

The 350 cubic-inch V8 is a crate Chevrolet high output replacement, installed with the refurbishment to replace the original L48. It can be heard running in the videos forming part of this listing. It is complemented by a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system controlled from the driver’s seat and mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed automatic transmission.  Other performance upgrades installed at that time include the SSBC brake upgrade and a DeWitt aluminum radiator.  Underneath is a VB & P Composite monoleaf spring suspension system, adjustable for ride height and firmness.  Although the car has not been driven, in the seller’s words, for a few years, it has been maintained annually.

Hi,

Thanks for checking out the vet! This car has been my dad’s pride and joy…it was his ultimate summer car. He has been unable to drive it for a few years due to medical issues and is hoping that someone else that is passionate about historic corvette’s will be interested in his. Hoping that all the photos and details depict how great this car is.. if you need anything else please let us know.
