The car’s original Medium Canyon Red (2A) finish is contrasted by a black GT hood stripe and side GT moldings. Other equipment includes a rear spoiler with Cobra decal, Flowmaster dual exhaust with long stainless outlets, quad halogen headlights, and Marchal fog lights with covers. Covers are not installed, stored separately because of the difficulty in replacing them and resultant high value. Three cobra emblems are adhered to the front fenders and dash, easily removed for a return to the stock look.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in light gray with Charcoal Gray cloth centers complemented by red piping as well with a gray dash and matching door cards with driver’s map pocket. The sport front seats feature adjustable side bolsters and thigh supports, and additional amenities include a period aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo by Eclipse, crank windows, 50/50 split-folding rear seat and functioning retractable cargo cover. An electronic alarm controlled by separate key fob is installed. Aftermarket protective mats are in place in front, original matching grey mats protect the rear seat footwells.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 180 km/h speedometer and a 7000 RPM tachometer with 5800 RPM redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows under 67,000 km, which can be corroborated by service records and the one-family history of this Mustang GT.
The 5.0-liter V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor and forged camshafts and was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. Undercarriage photographs are in our gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents and lists registration history in Ontario. The other damage noted was a glass claim and the reason why a “Carlite” embossed logo appears on all glass except the passenger door window.
This 67K km One Family-Owned 1985 Ford Mustang GT Cobra 5-Speed Manual comes with uninstalled smoked headlight covers, uninstalled Marchal fog light covers, original Ford warranty card, further original documentation, service records, an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate and two sets of keys from the owner in Mississauga, On.

Hello car lovers and welcome to the auction!
We take great pride in offering this 1985 Mustang GT. It has been in the same family for just over 38 years from new. Since 2014, over $11,000 has been spent on reconditioning this survivor vehicle from the heydays of the 1980’s muscle car era.
Please keep in mind what a pivotal year 1985 was for the Mustang GT. It was a year of important firsts and lasts for this Fox body collector car. It was the LAST year of the Holley 4 bbl carb., moving to fuel injection in 1986. It was also the FIRST year of 15-inch rims and dual exhausts. Back in 1985 it was one of the most powerful North American muscle cars you could buy from the Big Three.
Our wish is that the new owner love, enjoy and cherish this vehicle as it is now an appreciating asset. Please refer to the Mecum car auction this past spring where Fox body Mustangs have been crossing the block for big money. This 1985 Mustang GT may be one of the best ways to enjoy an appreciating investment!
